Mauritius leading Africa in mobile connectivity – GSMA ranking BUSINESS

Mauritius came first in Africa in the mobile connectivity index compiled by GSMA, the global mobile operators Association.
The Island nation that is number 76 world over, is followed by South Africa, Tunisia, Morocco and Egypt, all in the top five positions in telecommunication operations ratings.
The ranking features 41 African countries.
Internet accessibility, prices of mobile devices, relevant services and political enviroment are among the factors the Association considered to determine the rankings.
This criteria allowed scores to be awarded from 0 to 100 points.
Mauritius took the first place with 62.7 points.
Malawi, Guinea Conakry, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo and Niger are among the last.
This is the third consecutive year that Mauritius is leading in terms of mobile connectivity in Africa.
